Who should study a postgraduate course?Postgraduate courses are designed for graduates with a Doctor of Dental Medicine, a Bachelor of Dental Surgery or an equivalent qualification that is recognised by the Dental Board of Australia.

These courses require at least two years of general dental practice and the completion of the Primary Fellowship Examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) or its equivalent is highly desirable. International applicantsInternational Students must provide proof of their English language proficiency for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and receive either General Registration or Limited Registration to undertake this course.

International applicants who do not qualify for General Registration must fulfil the AHPRA language requirement by achieving IELTS Academic Test results of at least seven in all categories. This IELTS test satisfies both the University of Sydney entry requirement and the AHPRA English language standard for limited registration.
